BMW K1600GTL product shoot

Yesterday I decided to do a product photo shoot with my motorcycle, a BMW K16OOGTL, in my own garage!

No, my garage is not a studio and there is lots of stuff in my garage that shouldn’t get into the pictures as well. But I decided to give it a try.

After installing the two Jinbei strobe lights it was quite obvious that the walls in the garage did came into the picture too much. As I don’t have any suitable backgrounds yet I have chosen to make some teaser shots in the dark and some detailed pictures of the motorcycle.

Adobe announces Adobe Creative Cloud and changes upgrade policy

Adobe has recently announced Adobe Creative Cloud, offering the Creative Master Collection including Photoshop®, InDesign®, Illustrator®, Dreamweaver®, Premiere® Pro, After Effects® and other software, becoming available in the first half of 2012.

Together with this announcement, Adobe changed the upgrade policy: when you want to upgrade to CS6 you’ll need CS5 or CS5.5 in order to obtain an upgrade price as normal. Otherwise you’re entitled to buy the full version again or buy CS5.5 before the end of the year at a 20% discount.

Sounds like another company that is going after even more money or pushing Adobe users to move to the Adobe Creative Cloud.

Scott Kelby, who is besides a professional photographer also president of the National Association of Photoshop Professionals (NAPP), representing more than 70,000 Photoshop users around the world, has written an open letter to Adobe.

Spy shots of a… Lexus GS

Whoaw, today I was driving on the E40 in the direction of Ghent coming from Brussels when suddenly from the right a car inserts into the drive lanes with full camouflage. Not tham I am a Lexus fan but seeing a test mule on our roads isn’t something that happens quite often. I suppose it is a Lexus GS based on the shapes and the tail lights.

I managed to get my iPhone in my hands and did made a few shots. Not the very best I know but driving and making pictures are two simultaneous tasks but “men can’t multitask” they say so I have a very good excuse.

At some point, they knew I was making photo’s. When I passed by I went to the first lane and they stayed behind me, even when I dropped my speed, for several miles. I just managed to make one more last shot, when leaving the highway, at the end when they passed by.
