The goal of the The Tall Ships Races 2016 is to provide young people a sail training adventure. For the 6th time, Antwerp was one of the ports where the ships docked for several days and the public gets the chance to explore these fine ships.

The Belgian marine was also present with the A960 Godetia, a support and logistics ship, and the impressive F930 Leopold I, mainly used as multipurpose escort ship and is being used in peace keeping missions by NATO.

We boarded the Simón Bolívar, that cruises the oceans under the flag of Venezuela. With a length of 85 meters and built in 1980 as a cadet sail training ship, this vessel is not that old as others but still very nice to capture some fine details of such ship in a unique atmosphere with local music and dance.
